Peter Salas, Interim Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors

Peter E. Salas is ACT's Executive Chairman of the Board of Directors. He was appointed Principal Executive Officer by the Board in March 2007 and as Chairman in August 2005.

Mr. Salas has served as President of Dolphin Asset Management Corporation and its related companies since their founding in 1988. Dolphin Direct is a New York-based private equity fund that invests in micro-cap opportunities. He served as the lead investor in ACT's August 2005 Series AA Convertible Preferred Stock offering.

Prior to establishing the Dolphin entities, Mr. Salas served in various capacities for ten years at J.P. Morgan Investment Management, Inc. He received an A.B. degree in Economics from Harvard in 1978. Mr. Salas also serves as Chairman of the Board of Directors of Tengasco, Inc., and on the Boards of Directors of Williams Controls, Inc. and Southwall Technologies Inc.

Mark Kelly, Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Mr. Kelly has more than 15 years of experience in the telecommunications industry. Mr. Kelly is responsible for ACT's operations, product development, telecom infrastructure, management information systems and back-office functions.

Prior to joining ACT in 1998, Mr. Kelly was co-founder and Vice President of Engineering for Advanced Multi-Point Conferencing (AMC), a teleconferencing service provider based in Ottawa, Canada, that was acquired by ACT.

From 1987 until 1993, Mr. Kelly held a number of positions at Nortel Networks, including Manager for Core Software Development for Nortel's audio conference bridging platform and Member of the Scientific Staff.

Marina Bogard, Chief Sales and Marketing Officer

Ms. Bogard has nearly 20 years of executive leadership experience in Sales, Business Development and Marketing for companies ranging from technology start-ups to telecommunications leaders.

Most recently Ms. Bogard served as Vice President of Worldwide Business Development and Marketing for MX Logic, an email security managed service provider.

Prior to that, she was Senior Vice President of Sales for Pinnacle Systems Inc., a leading provider of digital video creation and distribution tools. In this position, she managed all product sales and distribution throughout North America, South America and Japan.

Ms. Bogard previously served as an Officer and Vice President for Excite@Home, where she focused on developing alliances and affiliate relations with U.S. and Canadian cable operating companies. Her management career began at Sprint where she served for more than 10 years in various sales and marketing management roles.

Ms. Bogard received a B.S. in Liberal Arts and Sciences from the University of Iowa and an M.B.A. in Marketing from the University of Dallas.

Jeremy Wescoat, Vice President of Administration

As Vice President of Administration, Mr. Wescoat is responsible for all administrative functions of ACT’s global organization, including business operations, real estate, policy initiatives and strategy execution.  He previously served as Director of Business Administration where he led ACT’s worldwide human resources function. Mr. Wescoat started with ACT in 1998 and has held varying positions of increasing responsibility in operations, administration and human resources management.  

Prior to joining ACT, Mr. Wescoat worked in Human Resources at U.S. WEST. 

Mr. Wescoat holds an international MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver and a Bachelor of Arts degree in communication from William Jewell College.

Jennie McQuade, General Counsel/Vice President of Human Resources

Prior to serving as the General Counsel/Vice President of Human Resources for ACT, Jennie L. McQuade served as General Counsel/CSA for JAG-Colorado. Ms. McQuade was the principal staff member charged with overseeing all legal matters. She was also responsible for planning, organization, implementation and management of Operations, including accounting, finance, human resources, IT and Network function and administration. She provided planning, guidance, support and staff supervision to ensure effective implementation and achievement of goals and objectives as outlined in the organization’s strategic plan.

Prior to JAG, she was Vice President of Operations/General Counsel for the American Association of Nurse Assessment Coordinators.

Ms. McQuade served as General Counsel for the Certified Financial Planner Board of Standards (CFP Board). She was the principal staff member charged with overseeing all the corporate legal affairs of CFP Board. She has also served as a law clerk for Colorado Supreme Court Justice Kirshbaum, worked in private practice, and taught business law at American University.

Ms. McQuade holds a Bachelor of Science in Finance/Real Estate from Colorado State University and obtained a Juris Doctorate from the University of Denver in 1995.
