How ReadyConnect Works
To conduct a ReadyConnect conference call, simply inform all Participants of the conference date and time, and distribute the Participant Passcode and conference telephone number(s). Your Participants then dial the conference telephone number provided and enter their Participant Passcode when prompted. ReadyConnect will automatically bring Participants into the conference.
The conference is activated as soon as you enter your Host Passcode. (Please note, if you are the first person on line and you are the Host, you will hear silence until another Participant joins.)
Your assigned Host Passcode will be the basis for billing records. The length of each call is carefully recorded and charges are accrued by the minute. Please be aware that your Host Passcode gives you the ability to create a conference at will and that you will be charged for each conference. If you are unable to arrive in the conference before the other Participants, someone else may use your Host Passcode to start the conference. However, once these Participants have your Host Passcode, they will be able to create conferences without your knowledge or approval. ACT recommends that you distribute the Participant Passcode on a need-to-know basis only, although this Passcode is incapable of executing a conference.
